GRAND FINAL
2nd nine vs. LaTrobe – Grand Final Lost 12-10
What a Grand Day for a Grand Final as the North Balwyn Stingers 2nds put on a great showing with a gutsy down to the wire loss to our arch rivals LaTrobe 12-10.
Cameron started on the hill this week going the distance of 7 innings giving up 12 runs (9 earned) on 14 hits with 1 walk and 5 strike outs. Well done Cameron.
We played a pretty good defensive game but made a few costly mistakes at the wrong time both in the field and on the base path. We also left 8 runners stranded.
All in all a great game to watch for the fans, who we would like to say “Thanks” to for coming out and supporting us.
I would also like to say thanks to all at the club for their support in what has been a great season for the 2nd nine
with a special thanks to the players who have put in all year for the club in all grades who came out on the day and made the season what it was - “Bloody Fantastic”. Our only regret is that we couldn’t play everyone for the whole game because you all deserve it.
Hope to see you all out there again next year for what is sure to be another great year for the NORTH BALWYN STINGERS.

I believe there is a special “Training” session scheduled for this Thursday night the 18th of September at 7:30 followed by our traditional pizza fest.

Damlow Nomination
No entries this week.
The Damlow nomination award is something that is available to anyone in the entire club from juniors right up to seniors and spectators. So if you see something silly, stupid or just plain funny that someone does during the season, on or off-field, then please let us know about it.
