Well here we are all, the season is finally upon us and we are set to start on Saturday 28th of April. For all those new to the club, the North Balwyn Baseball Club was formed in 1937 and this season represents the 70th anniversary. It is fantastic to see this year again the incredible growth in numbers, particularly in the junior section of the club. In addition, the canteen is virtually finished and is looking . It really is an exciting time for the club. Three years ago the club only had 20 members in total and was on the verge of collapse, this season there are over 80 registered members which is a fantastic achievement for all involved.
The new canteen has effectively created a position that the club has not had to previously manage. If anyone in the club is interested in helping out to help manage the successful operation of the canteen for season 2007 then please get in contact with us at northbalwynbc@yahoo.com
The main role will be to manage the stock level and where required, organise for someone to purchase additional stock.  The club will then reimburse costs.
Throughout the course of the season, everyone can expect to be rostered on for canteen duty so when it is your turn, if you are unable to do it, it will be your responsibility to find someone to swap with.
