1st Nine vs Latrobe Uni - Crushed 11-2
The firsts have crushed Latrobe Uni at the weekend in an embarrassing display. Starting with 2 blanks due to 3 firsts players playing in the seconds, Latrobe only ended up using one in the first two innings as Yoshi started well on the mound. After only 1 hit in the first inning, the lower order fired up in the second to open the account and the hits didn't stop all day. The biggest hit of the day went to Andrew Speed who one bounced the ball into the left field fence. Thats right folks, left field.
HITS:  13  Billy, Yoshi, Andrew, James, Lenny 2 each,  Matt, Tim, Carlos 1 each
RBI's Matt 3, Lenny 2,  Billy, Tim, James,  Andrew 1 each

PITCHING:
Yoshi -  5.1 inns,  0 runs, 3 hits,  3Ks,  3BBs,  2HPBs,  0 runs
Carlos - 1.2 inns,  2 runs,  0 earned runs, 4 hits
Looking ahead this week, the 1sts will take on Waverley as finals baseball returns to Myrtle Park. This is where home ground advantage comes in handy. Support is going to make all the difference this week and it will really help if everyone and their friends are able to come down and make as much noise as possible. You don't realise how much support helps until you have it

3rd Nine vs Panton Hill - WON 18-1
Well the season has come to a close for the the thirds. I want to thank all that have played in the thirds this season. The game on Saturday was against the bottom side who have not won a game. I asked the players 2 weeks ago I wanted to finish the season off with 2 wins and we did.
Panton Hills had one of their young pitchers on the mound who through half the speed of Peter Clapp, our batting at the start let us down due to our own complacency, we got off to a bit of a slow start. It was about the 3 innings when we were 2 down, the score was 3-0 we decided to have a 13 run rally, due to some better hitting and a few walks. There wasn't a real lot to says about this game everyone did their job, the batting overall was good the fielding very good and the team spirit excellent.
Well done to Michelle Cranston on playing her 100th game, Well done to the boys who won the u/15 grand final, also to Alex who won a couple of his team awards for the u/15 including the coaches award. It was a very enjoyable season for me to play with team mates who I have played with for many years and to watch the new players come into our team and watch them improve over the season. I thank-you for the enjoyable season all of you.

4th Nine vs Forest Hill - Lost 3-17
Last game of the year, and dispite loosing 17-3, we all had fun. Ben and Matt both pitched well and a special thanks to Joey Yu for catching and Jade Tu for filling in with us and Peter & Tony for thier umpiring, not to metion Barry who scored for us. Looking forwards to next year.
5th Nine vs Latrobe Uni - Lost 8-23
Today was our last game in this winter which was against La Trobe Uni. In the 1st inning, we got a big trouble. The pitcher, Jeff, couldn't perform well as he had previously probably because of his neck problem. Henry, our coach, tried the change Paul but still the experienced Latrobe outfit kept hitting. Unfortunately, even our batters try hard to get the scores back but it still had some distance to go, thus, we loss it. Nevertheless, looking back all the games in this season. All the teammates have improved their skills in all areas. No matter in batting, throwing, pitching and defencing. Hope that we can have more funs and win in coming season.
**DAMLOW NOMINATIONS**
When I can be bothered I will go through the newsletters from previous weeks and collate all the damlow nominations. Unless someone wants to do it for me...
